Thoughts on Gundam Wing:

Often, while watching Gundam Wing, thoughts pop into my head. Sometimes they're kind of deep, other times they're just due to my messed-up mind. Anyways, I started righting them down in my anime notebook *sweatdrop,* and now that I've started my web page, I've decided to share them with you. Now, enter if you dare, the mind of moon shadow.

Truly think of how old the G-Boys are. They are 15, which is my age, and are soldiers, and assasins.

In one episode, 'Shinigami' says "Come with me, on a journey to hell!" (I'm unsure about the exact wording. That means himdelf as well. This is their life.

The main thought of Endless Waltz is that "as long as humanity exists, there will always be battles." Yet, at the end, it says "and from then on, mobile suits, including the gundams, were never seen again." So, which is it? Perhaps there will be battles without suits, but that makes no sense. Without mobile dolls, maybe, why would mobile suits be wrong?

After the war is over, for good, after wars are forever gone, where will the boys go, and what will they do? I can see Duo and Quatre moving on, perhaps Trowa and WuFei, but what about Heero? The last scene, with Heero wandering through space, exemplifies this. Perhaps his 'murder' of Mariemeia let him give up killing, but it didn't earn him a future. Perhaps he is doomed to just 'wander through space.

I am fine with gays, don't misunderstand me, but I find it hard to imagine Heero and Duo as a couple. Duo just seems like such a lady's man. As for Heero, I just can't picture him in a relationship at all, be it with a boy _or_ girl.

Is it just me, or does Rasdid of the Maganac (spelling?) Core look like Wolverine from the X-Men?

I've always thought of Dorothy Catalonia as a screwed-up side character who just follows Relena around, all the while dreaming of battles. Yet, in the episode when Relena is crowned (or is it the one before?), the aristocrats turn to Dorothy, asking her if she's sure if it's a good idea to make Relena the queen in name and reality. She must have a greater role in the show than I thought.

Why do arm wrestling matches between metal gundams sound like stretching leather or rubber?

Where did Trowa learn to play the flute, anyway?

Relena is a 15 year old vice-foreign minister. Queen, ok. That's happened, but not 15 year old members of democratic government!

Doesn't the story of the Peacecrafts kind of remind you of the Czars in the Russian revolution? Not the derails, of course, but think of the big Peacecraft family portrait in the castle, and of Relena and Milliardo's father's portrait. In fact, their father does kind of look like a Czar. Man, I hope Milliardo doesn't end up looking like that! I don't know, I guess it's just the whole thing with the royal family being dissolved, and most killed.

What will all the Gundam characters look like when they're 80?

I wonder, did Heero have any kind of childhood? From an online translation of Episode Zero, I've ssen some of it, but what about before then? What about as a toddler, or as a baby? Was he perhaps a test-tube baby? It's hard tp comprehend such an existence.

Originally, Zechs was told by Treize that he should die for Oz, although this would most likely be staged, which it turned out to be. Howeveer, in the end, it is Treize who ends up dying. Isn't it ironic? (don'tcha think?)

Outside of my 'no life after the war' theme, I wonder what it will be like. What will they do? Also, what if they went completely on their own ways after the final battle? Many fan-fics have them visiting each other often after the battle with Mariemeia, but maybe they'll just say, OK, bye. Have a good life.

Why are there so many Gundam dark-fics on the net?

A little off topic, but I finally figured ou where Heero keeps his gun: the same place Sailor Moon keeps her wand!

In 'The Gundam They Called Zero,' Quatre greatly damages the Vayeate (spelling?), which is being piloted by Trowa, to such an extent that it blows up. Quatre tries to help him, but Heero pins him to the wall uses the Mercurius which he is piloting. This continues into the next episode, 'Quatre vs. Heero.'
But why doesn't Heero let Quatre help Trowa, or help Trowa himself. Does he feel that there is no hope left for Trowa, and that he will die. Is he just being irrational (unlikely, knowing Heero). Does it have something to do with his fighting life.
I really don't know, but my guess is that he feels that it is the only way to get Quatre to return to his senses. If Quatre's best friend or lover, whichever, were to die, perhaps it would serve as a rude awakening to Quatre. One ground for my thinking this is Trowas line: 'Don't be too hard on Quatre, Heero.'
But Heero also seemed extremely vengeful, even menacing. He didn't appear regretful about leaving Trowa to what may become him. 'Quatre, I'm going to destroy you' (which I assume was actually 'I'm going to kill you,' but...). That doesn't sound like someone trying to teach a lesson.

It seems to me that Quatre is always being told about the warrior's spirit. I figure this is because he has much less of this spirit, since he hasn't really been trained like most of the others, and also because of his kinder heart. *I know, this entry is of lesser quality, but maybe you will be able to decode the feeling behind it.*

Y'know, Duo gets punched a lot. *sweatdrop*
